Lidia Decandia is associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Alghero (University
of Sassari), where she teaches ‘Project in a social context’ and ‘History of the city and the
territory. She founded Matrica: a ‘Laboratory of Urban Fermentation’. She is member of
the board of Urban Technique and Planning and earned her PhD at the Faculty of Engineering
of University “La Sapienza” of Rome. She is part of the editorial board of CRIOS and of
the Scientific Journal Scienze del Territorio – a Journal of urban and landscape planners. In
2014 she became full Professor (08/F1- Urban planning and urban projects).
Among her recent publications: Polifonie urbane. Oltre i confini della visione prospettica,
(Meltemi 2008); Lo spazio, il tempo e la norma, (con P. Bottaro e S. Moroni, Editoriale Scientifica,
2009), L’apprendimento come esperienza estetica, (Franco Angeli, 2011).
